A transcript preserves spoken content. The visual change belongs in the analysis, not inside a quotation attributed to the speaker.

A precise instruction creates a test
- Hook
- The speaker tells the viewer exactly where to look. The hook promises a visible difference rather than a general camera tip.
- Visual beat
- The exposure adjustment is shown on screen. The face then exposes the tradeoff: recovering the window does not solve the whole shot.
- Limit of the evidence
- These observations explain how the demonstration is arranged. They cannot establish watch time, conversion or why a real post went viral.

The subject and wording change. The correction, demonstration and payoff remain useful creative choices. These two demo scripts are handwritten presets, not live generated output.
How the conversation uses this evidence
1. “Analyze this public video.” → analyze_video creates the paid result.
2. “Show its spoken hook and the first visual beat.” → get_video_structure reuses the saved analysis.
3. “Write for a warm creator coach.” → rewrite_video_script updates the script for 1 credit.
Study a TikTok without losing the thread
“Analyze this TikTok and separate the spoken hook from what happens on screen.” Then ask, “Use the same analysis to build a tutorial for first-time users of my product.” Karmo returns structured speech and visual observations the assistant can refer to during the rewrite.
A public video URL starts the normal paid analysis workflow. An analysis ID retrieves your saved result. The optional target platform can guide a rewrite for Instagram or TikTok without changing the source.
This connection does not manage TikTok Ads
Karmo analyzes video content. It has no TikTok Ads Manager connection, ad-account metrics, publishing controls or account-management tools. A public video used in an ad can be studied as content if it is accessible; Karmo does not know the campaign’s spend or results.
Private, restricted or inaccessible media cannot be processed. Supported short share links must resolve to a public TikTok video on an approved host.
A shared account and a shared endpoint
Use https://api.trykarmo.com/mcp with the Claude setup instructions or ChatGPT setup instructions. Both connect to the same tools and use your existing Karmo credits.
A new video analysis includes its transcript and first rewrite for 11 Karmo credits. Reading a saved transcript adds no charge. Each later script revision costs 1 credit. An active paid plan is required; failed processing is refunded. See current plans.

Karmo returns structured fields the assistant can use separately: source platform, transcript, hook, content structure, timed beats, visual observations and an original rewrite. The assistant can quote a source line while keeping its own explanation separate.

How do you adapt a TikTok structure without copying its voice?
Tell the assistant which part of the format is useful. “Keep the demonstration before the explanation” is more actionable than “make it like this creator.” Then provide your audience, subject and desired tone.
Karmo’s rewrite uses the saved profile and requested direction to change wording and examples. The demo shows a direct product educator and a warmer creator coach using the same attention sequence. Both need a claim that belongs to the new subject.
For an existing analysis, rewrite_video_script costs 1 credit and replaces the current saved script. Keep any draft you want to compare in your own notes before requesting another version.
What happens if TikTok blocks the source?
Karmo stops when it cannot retrieve accessible public media. It does not request your TikTok cookies, proxy a private account or route arbitrary URLs through the downloader. Reserved processing credits are refunded when the operation fails.
A share link must resolve to a supported TikTok video path. Links to profiles, search pages, livestreams or ad-account screens are outside the accepted input. If a short link fails, try the public video’s full @creator/video URL.
Can I use the same connector for Instagram?
Yes. Platform detection happens from the URL. One endpoint and the same four tools serve public Instagram Reels and TikTok videos; you do not install a second connector.
